How to Make Homemade Barbeque Sauce

  • 1/2 lb sweet onions
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp garlic
  • 2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

      Peel the onions and garlic. Cut the onions into 1/2-inch dice and set aside. Mince the garlic into pieces 1/4-inch in size.

      In a large heavy-bottomed saute pan, heat the pan over medium-high heat.

      Add the oil to the pan and turn the heat to just above medium heat.

      Add the rest of the ingredients to the saute pan beginning with the ketchup and vinegar.

      Turn the heat up to medium-high heat and simmer the sauce while stirring for approximately 12 to 15 minutes.
