So you’ve bought a .TV domain name and you’re turning it into your very own .TV channel. If you’ve opted to use one of the cool ChannelME.TV templates, then adding videos to your channel is easy, just follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet

Step1
On the Homepage, click ‘Settings’ on the top toolbar.
Step2
After being redirected, a menu titled ‘Channel Settings’ will appear on the left. There are three different ways you can add video content: Add Video from the web using URL, add video from the web using Grablet, or upload video from a device.
Step3
To add a video from the web using the URL, simply go to the desired website and copy (control+C) the permalink and then paste (control+P) it into the empty field on your .TV site and click "Continue." It will allow you to enter a super tag and description for your video and then it will save it in your video library.
Step4
To add a video using the grab bookmarklet, simply click on "Grab This!" and a "Grab This" button will appear to the right. Right click on the button and "save as favorites." Now the button will appear on your browser bar. The "Grab This" Bookmarklet is the fastest and easiest way to add any video clip you see on YouTube, MySpace, Google Video, iFilm, or Rever to your .TV archive. When you see a video on the web that you like, simply click on the Grab This button, sign into your ChannelME.TV account, and fill out the super tag and video description. Now the video is waiting for you in your video library whenever you want access to it.
Step5
The third way to add an original video to your .TV site is to upload it derectly from your computer, webcam, video camera, or digital camera.
All you have to do is click on "Upload or Record Video," then select the source of your video, and upload it. You will fill in the same information such as the descriptions and tags.
Step6
Regardless of how you add videos to your personal video library, you have the option to add it to your favorites and make it private or viewable by the public.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are going to upload video from a storage device, make sure you have the proper USB or firewire cable to connect the device to your computer.
  • Do not add license protected videos such as artist performances, concerts, bootleg shows without getting permission.
  • Only load a video if it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy, rights to publicity or any other legal or moral rights of the video creator.
