How to Make a Photo into a Watercolor Painting Reproduction Using Photoshop
Watercolor Reproduction can be achieved using any Adobe Photoshop Program. This article is geared to Photoshop 7, so the menu names may differ depending on the version used.

Find a Photo you wish to reproduce into a Watercolor painting, and save it to your Hard Drive.

Open the saved Picture with Photoshop.

Choose your Background layer, and right click it. Click the Duplicate Layer option.

Open up the Filter Menu and choose: Filter -> Artistic -> Dry Brush
Use the Following settings:
Brush Type - Dry Brush
Brush Detail - 6
Texture - 2 -

Press ctrl+L to bring up the Hue Level menu. Change the settings to the following:
Channel - RGB
Input Levels - 0 1.61 255
Output Levels - 0 255 -

Select your "Background Copy" layer, and duplicate it.

Open the Filter Menu, and choose: Texture -> Texturizer
Use the following settings:
Texture: Canvas
Scaling: 102%
Relief: 3
Light: Top

Does Photo Shop have one program for this, turning 2 pictures into 1, turning a picture into black and white. Because, I am interested in doing alot to a photo but there are alot of programs to purchase. I loved the article and yes it is very helpful. I give you 10 stars. Merry Christmas -

Thanks, yes it was relatively easy... I've done before but played with more layers. I tried it your way, though I still found I prefer to adjust the transparency of at least one of the layers so that I come out with exactly what I think I should. -
