    Relax. Meditation and relaxation therapies can be powerful weapons various side effects, from fatigue and nausea to problems with kidneys and bowels. These therapies also help you to cope with psychological stress. Ask your doctor to recommend a meditation course, or simply purchase a book or tape you can use on your own.

    Find coping techniques for the unavoidable side effects. For instance, many patients experience hair loss during chemotherapy. Wearing a wig or scarf can help reduce the self-esteem issues associated with baldness.
