Step 1
Visit the Alabama State Bar Association Web site to download and print the law student registration application and the application for admission.

Step 2
Complete the law student registration application carefully, double-check for errors and have it notarized.

Step 3
Collect necessary materials to include with your law student registration, including a current driving abstract from the Department of Public Safety, a law school dean's certification form, an authorization and release form and two fingerprint cards.

Mail your completed law student registration to the Alabama State Bar.

Review the application for admission and note the filing deadline for your desired bar exam date.

Fill out the application for admission carefully, double-check for errors, affix a recent passport photo and have the application notarized.

Collect necessary materials to include with your application for admission, including three attorney affidavits, the MBE certification form and any additional information requested.

Attach your bar fees to your application.

Mail your application to the Alabama State Bar well before the stated deadline.
