Most football players are strong and fast, so strength and running are nessecities for any position. The best way to get faster is to run as fast as you can until your legs really, really start to burn. One of the best ways to get stronger is to eat high calorie foods and lift weights.
Don't be scared, but injuries are common in football. If you are in good shape and are aware of what's happining, you have a slight chance of being hurt.
