The uterine lining, or endometrium, is composed of the cells that line the womb. This lining thickens each month in preparation for a possible pregnancy. But some women have a lining that is too thin, causing skipped menstrual cycles or difficulty in getting pregnant. One way to address these issues is to thicken the uterine lining with the help of progesterone therapy.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Take progestin, a synthetic version of progesterone. It can be taken orally or through injection, and has fewer side effects than natural progesterone.
Step2
Take micronized capsules containing natural progesterone derived from yams. Common side effects of oral progesterone include dizziness and sleepiness.
Step3
Try progesterone suppositories, made of natural progesterone suspended in cocoa butter to help them melt and absorb when inserted into the vagina. One drawback is that they can be a bit messy.
Step4
Insert bioadhesive gel into the vagina. It contains a natural form of progesterone and is highly effective in targeting the uterine area.
Step5
Consult your gynecologist to find out which method would work best for you.
