How to Enjoy a Gears of War Multiplayer Battle

If you thought Gears of War was sweet as a single-player campaign, wait until you get into multiplayer! It's fast, it's brutal and although you’re bound to get splattered a dozen times over, you’ll get to do some splattering of your own! Lock and load!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Log on to Xbox Live or your local area network if you’re linking several 360s together.
Step2
Select the game style. There are several different play types that dictate what the mission is. Assassination missions require your team to eliminate the enemy leader, Warzone missions are your good old slugfests and Execution missions require your opponent to be in close range before you can be properly "executed."
Step3
Select a map. Most maps tend to be fairly symmetrical, forcing players to use cover, flanking maneuvers and coordination to outsmart the enemy.
Step4
Use teamwork! The vast majority of the multiplayer maps in Gears of War are designed with teamwork in mind. Rushing headlong into the fray is bound to get you killed in a hurry, and teammates cannot always be revived (if you get hacked with the chainsaw, you’re down for the count).
Step5
Grab your headset and coordinate! On longer maps and battles, having the ability to chat with your teammates is invaluable. Keep in touch with those still alive and help each other out.
Step6
Revive your buddies! As in the single-player campaign, downed teammates can be revived. Granted, it is rare to run into a teammate who is down but not splattered along the pavement, but it happens. If you see someone who is down, help out!
Step7
Be gracious. No one likes a sore loser or a gloating winner.
