This article gives a bit of insight into hitting a fade. I'm a +2 index and was hitting a draw up until a year ago. This certainly does not make me an expert, but I've had success with my new move and wanted to share my thoughts and video.
Work to keep hands "inside" clubhead on backswing. This prevents a "layoff" at the top of the swing and thus lessens the need to reroute the plane on the downswing...often a tendency for drawers of the ball.
Step2
Work to quiet the lower body on the downswing - lessen knee bend and "squat". Most drawers tend to sit too much and thus get their arms caught behind their body causing a flip with the hands at the ball. In the video, I have stuck a shaft in the ground at about a 30 degree angle aligned over the balls of my feet. This in theory will eliminate too big a squat as my knees will touch the shaft if I dip too much.
Step3
Work to exit low. This is achieved by rotating the shoulders left VERY aggressively. The feel is swinging your hands left of your body post-impact. In theory, the more you swing left, the less likely you'll be to hit the ball left or hit a draw. Counterintuitive until you think about swing plane.

on 5/15/2007 Awesome article - love the video! I sent this to my father-in-law, an avid golfer, and he loved it!
