How to stop a gassy baby's fussiness. Just in case there's no more or don't have any gas medicine for the little ones, but may have something used as an alternative.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A teaspoon, dropper, or a syringe used to give liquids orally.
  • room temperature lemon- lime soda.

Step1
Step one is having a can or bottle of any lemon-lime soda, that is warm, or plain room temperature.
Step2
Give the infant two teaspoon full of the warm soda to swallow. If you only have a small dropper, give two full servings of from the dropper, the same goes with a small oral syringe.
Step3
After giving the infant the warm soda, you can do either of the following: 1) hold the infant in your arms while rubbing his/her back in a circular motion, 2) lie the infant on his/her back while rubbing in a circular motion, or gently patting the infant's stomach, and or 3) have the baby lie on his/her back and gently grab the infant's feet, lift his/her legs, bend their knees, and bring their knees to their stomach.
Step4
Repeat this, until the infant will let out a belch. The infant will either let out one, but make sure the child let out all the gas bubbles, so it could at least rest comfortably.

Tips & Warnings

  • I'm not in medical profession, this is just something that has worked for me to do, with a gassy baby.
