Dentures are artificial and removable teeth. They need to be cleaned daily as they can get dirty and create problems such as bad breath, bleeding of gums and more. Learn how to clean dentures using common household products.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Clean your dentures with water after every meal. Take dentures out of your mouth. Keep them in a bowl containing a cup of warm water and one teaspoon of vinegar for an hour. You can also use two teaspoons of baking soda instead of vinegar to remove food particles on dentures.

  2. Step 2

Wash your dentures with a soft-bristled toothbrush after taking them in your hands.

  3. Step 3

Make sure you clean the inner and outer surface of dentures periodically with a mild liquid soap. Then run normal water over them.

  4. Step 4

Soak the dentures in normal water for a minimum 8 hours a day. It will help remove all contamination. Use the dentures after drying with a soft cloth.

Tips & Warnings
  • Hold dentures properly while cleaning as they may break if they fall on hard surface.
  • Avoid using vinegar without water to clean dentures. Water will dilute the vinegar and increase the durability of dentures.
  • Do not use a brush with hard bristles to clean your dentures.
  • Do not soak dentures in boiling water.
