Bring your best suits. Russians are very fashion conscious. Men and women should wear long sleeves. Women should wear skirts below the knee.
-
4
Greet with a firm handshake, and exchange business cards (present yours Russian-side up). For men greeting women or women greeting women, the handshake should be softer. Men should wait for a woman to extend her hand before shaking. Maintain eye contact.

Be patient. It is not uncommon for Russian associates to arrive up to two hours late.

6
Keep presentations short and to the point. Avoid doing electronic presentations with flashy visuals.

Be aware that Russians see compromise as a sign of weakness. They may refuse to back down until the issue is conceded or it is clear that you will continue to stand firm.
-

Get everything in writing. Be very specific in your contracts.
