How to Attack the Alpha Squadron Base During The Hammer Drops in Starcraft

This will be one of the most difficult assaults you’ve done in Starcraft. Not only is the base surrounded by Missile Turrets, it's filled with Ghosts who are itching to use Lockdown on your Cruisers and shoot them. Learn how to defend yourself!

Things You’ll Need:

• Starcraft

1. Use the Cruiser’s Yamato Cannons to blast the Missile Turrets from a safe distance.
2. Have your Science Vessel pop an EMP whenever you see a Ghost. This will prevent them from Cloaking and using their Lockdown shot.
3. Blast Science Vessels as soon as you see them. They have the EMP shockwave, and they won't hesitate to use it on your Cruisers to disrupt your Yamato Cannons!
4. Try not to destroy any add-ons you find because they can be captured and put to use. Just destroy the main building.
5. Destroy Barracks quickly. The Barracks crank out Ghosts, which may be your worst enemy in this mission.
6. Send SCVs and Marines to occupy the base once you’ve taken it. Get them ready to start construction once the last vestiges of Alpha Squadron are cleaned out. Make sure the base is secured before you move your Cruisers away.
7. Move on to the northwest corner and destroy the Ion Cannon when you are ready.
