How to Finish Preparing for the Battle at New Gettysburg in StarCraft

Your base is getting close to fortified and you're itching to get at the Protoss. But bide your time; you are not quite ready to go forth. Make sure your base is secure and that you have a sound assault force before you go anywhere.

Difficulty: Moderate

Instructions

1. Train a few Vultures and have them hold position in between your bunkers. This will help fortify your defense against the Zerg.

2. Build missile turrets along the western edge of your base. This will discourage Zerg Overlords and Queens from stepping too close.

3. Build a Starport and Science Lab as soon as possible. You can now construct the mighty Battle Cruisers! These will be your main attack force from here on.

4. Research upgrades sparingly. You'll need every bit of resources you can muster for your fleet.

5. Attach a Physics Lab to your Science Lab and research the Yamato Cannon upgrade. You'll also want the Colossus Reactor upgrade, but that can come later.

6. Build as many Battle Cruisers as you can. You'll probably be able to build 4 to 7 before your mineral field runs dry.

7. Keep an eye on your northern defenses. The Zerg will be throwing Hydralisks and Zerglings at you on a fairly frequent basis. Make sure your defense is able to answer. Keep an SCV up there for repairs.
