How to Get to Any Capitol City Quickly in World of Warcraft

With the addition of the Burning Crusade expansion, there is now an easy method that will get you to any capitol city in Wolrd of Warcraft with minimum hassle. All it requires is either a teleport or a hike to Shattrath City in Terokkar Forest.

Instructions

Getting to Shattrath on Foot

1. Head west out of Hellfire Peninsula.

2. Take the first left in Zangarmarsh. This will be in Cenarion Hold. Follow this all the way down and into Terokkar.

3. Stay on the road south, and when you hit a large city with lots of Draenei riding Elekks, you're in the right place. Welcome to Shattrath!

By Summons or Portal

4. Ask a Mage or Warlock friend to either summon you to Shattrath or give you a portal there.

5. Bribe a Mage or Warlock with gold if you don't have any friends with summoning or portal ability.

Getting to Other Cities Through Shattrath

6. Set your hearthstone to Shattrath. This can be done on either the Aldor Rise or Scryer Tier. You need not choose a side immediately (the Aldor and Scryers are at odds) but you will want to eventually. For now, just set your hearth at either one of their inns.

7. Head to the central ring where all the Naaru are located. Here, you will find a portal, readymade, to every major city in the game. Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, the Exodar, Silvermoon City, Undercity, Thunder Bluff and Ogrimmar. Mind you, you are still unable to use the opposing faction's portals, but at least you have all of yours in a single location.

8. Hearth back to Shattrath and take the portal if you're in Azeroth and need to get to Kalimdor in a hurry. It's a lot faster than taking the boat.
