- Animal manure compost
- Soft rock phosphate
- Diatomaceous earth
- Water
- Container to mix ingredients

Prepare an animal manure compost pile and wait for it to completely decompose.

Purchase diatomaceous earth and soft rock phosphate at a local retail nursery or off the Internet.

Mix three equal parts of the manure compost, diatomaceous earth and soft rock phosphate with enough water to make a paste.

Look for injuries on the trunks of your trees such as cuts and borer holes.

Paint the paste on the tree injuries. Repeat this step if the paste is washed off by rain or irrigation.
