  1. Step 1

    Click the E-mail icon on the Menu of your BlackBerry. You will usually find this icon on the left side of the screen.

  2. Step 2

    Open your Inbox. Then, select which e-mail message you need to open.

  3. Step 3

    Select Options from the menu. Then click on Open Attachment.

  4. Step 4

    Select the attachment you need to view. For some files, you can choose to view part of the contents or all the contents. But these choices depend on the type of file attached.

  5. Step 5

    Select Retrieve from the given options. After choosing the file that you want to open, click the Options menu and select Retrieve. This will start downloading the file.

  6. Step 6

    Wait for the file to completely download.

Tips & Warnings
  • BlackBerry allows for the attachment of various kinds of files without third-party software.
  • If you need to forward some important files, download the attached files completely and then send them via email. This will save a file on your drive, in case the forwarded message doesn’t go through.
