Crystal Mountain is found deep in the northwest. It's been ranked the seventh top mountain in North America by Skiing Magazine. You'll find runs for everyone: the beginner, the expert and the adventurous. Here are a few tips on how to best plan a Crystal Mountain skiing trip.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Ski gloves
  • Skis
  • Snowboard
  • Snowboard leash
  • Snow outfit
  • Goggles

Step1
Plan on arriving early if you plan on taking ski or snowboard lessons.
The classes are first come, first serve, and reservations can only be made for private lessons.
Step2
Enroll your children in the Kids Club. Here they'll receive lessons and supervision from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. This allows you to enjoy the more challenging slopes with the peace of mind that your kids are being cared for and entertained.
Step3
Enroll yourself in lessons. Whether you're a beginner or just working
on some new skills, your skiing and snowboarding will improve. The Crystal staff guarantees it.
Step4
Rent your equipment from the rental shop at Crystal if you're a first
time skier. The prices are very reasonable and you won't have to
transport the bulky gear in your car.
Step5
Ski with your family in the slower family zone, the Lucky Shot
Trail. These areas are patrolled for speed by the Safety Patrol. Avoid
these areas if you wish to show off your need for speed.
Step6
Eat your meals in one of the many restaurants or delis on the mountain.
There's something for every budget and appetite.
Step7
Familiarize yourself with all of the rules and regulations of the mountain before you board the lift and embark down the mountain.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't leave your ski equipment unattended. Crystal Mountain will not take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
  • Study the trail map and only go down slopes that you're capable and comfortable maneuvering.
  • Use plenty of sunscreen. The cold air may fool you, those sun rays bouncing off of the snow will make for a nasty burn.
