Face it, we all sweat and it's very likely that all of us have a favorite shirt that has been worn so many times that is just doesn't smell fresh anymore. Rejuvenate your old favorites, and don't be afraid of stinking up the place the next time you wear them.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Wash the clothing in cold water with your normal detergent. Do not dry.

  2. Step 2

Make a thick paste from baking soda and water. There's no real science to this. Just make it thick enough so it's not runny yet thin enough to spread.

  3. Step 3

Lay your shirt out, flat on a towel.

  4. Step 4

Spread a thick layer of baking soda on both underarm areas of the shirt.

  5. Step 5

Let the shirt dry--with the paste on it--for at least 24 hours.

  6. Step 6

Rewash the shirt as you normally would.

  7. Step 7

Dry as normal and then wear free of smell.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't worry about purchasing brand name baking soda. The generic equivalent will be fine.
  • The longer you let your shirt sit with the paste, the better the result you'll have.

Body odor naturally happens when sweat interacts with bacteria. If you can eliminate sweat, this helps a lot. Some people require prescription strength like drysol and there are many products out there for stopping sweat. The most effective may be SweatBlock (www.SweatBlock.com) which eliminated the irritation found in other products. It's a wipe you use just once a week.
