After college is over, the real fun begins; looking for that first job. Here's how you can prepare for your first interviews so it can seem like you've done this before.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Resume
  • An Interview

Step1
Hold a mock interview with a close friend or relative that can offer constructive criticism.
Step2
Study your questions and answers to their questions, but try not to sound rehearsed.
Step3
Do you homework. Know who is interviewing you, their title, and how to pronounce their name.
Step4
Find out as much information as you can about the company.
Carry an extra resume with you. Keep it in a briefcase or folder to look prepared.
Step5
Get a good night's sleep the night before.
Step6
Make sure your clothes are pressed and are clean.
Step7
Eat a good meal before you go, but do not overfill yourself.
Step8
Arrive early to the interview.
Step9
Be yourself and try to relax during the interview.

Tips & Warnings

  • Network as much as you can in order to get a first interview. Use friends, parents and relatives as resources.
