Parents of a picky child are often left feeling frustrated over their child's eating habits. Small children may decide they only want to eat one type of food, or they may pick at their plates during meals. Either way, parents are left to wonder if their child is receiving the proper nutrition. To help ease your mind, there are a few things you can do to encourage your child to eat a little better until they grow out of this stage.

on 1/19/2008 PS: One child I was acquainted with who was a picky eater had parents who could not cook worth a darn. These parents had never been taught, and they didn't want to teach themselves AT FIRST! I would not have eaten their food either. Learn to cook. Teach the kids to cook! Go to the library and get the cooking lessons
DVDs.

on 1/19/2008 I only cooked one group of things for dinner. I am a good cook. It was tasty.I never made anybody eat anything. they would serve themselves the amounts they wanted, as they got old enough to handle the implements. I noticed that after a while they will get hungry. I never had a child to die on me from starvation. Usually it is a power struggle or a bid for a lot of attention. Give the attention in a good way, not this way with food. Unless a child is severely ill, they will eat.
