The Pacific Science Center in Seattle is great for a day full of discovery and play. There are so many fascinating discoveries awaiting both adults and children.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wagon or stroller
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Lunch money or picnic
  1. Step 1

Look at the Science Center's Web site (see Resources below) to view any special events or IMAX shows that are available on the day of your visit.

  2. Step 2

Plan on purchasing a year membership if you are going to visit the museum more than once during the year. This may even be the same price as one visit, depending on how many people are in your party.

  3. Step 3

Plan to spend the entire day at the Science Center.

  4. Step 4

Spend the first part of your day visiting the Dinosaur, Butterfly, Insect Village, Tide Pool and Kid's Works exhibits. Then see an IMAX film.

  5. Step 5

Eat lunch. You can either buy lunch there or eat food that you have brought with you. There are picnic benches outside the center.

  6. Step 6

Visit Body Works, 3D Adventures, the Science Playground and Technology exhibits after lunch.

  7. Step 7

Ride the 15-foot-high rail bicycle. It looks scary, but you will be amazed at this exhibit. Don't forget to spin the giant granite ball, and walk in the Water Works Wheel.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy the year membership.
  • Sit near an exit in the IMAX theatre if you have little ones. The large screen film can sometimes frighten them.
  • Bring a wagon or stroller for kids to take a break from walking.
  • Bring extra snacks.
