on 7/2/2007 The instructions are not complete!
You don't always turn your wheels to the right:
Facing downhill on the right side of the street or uphill on the left side of the street: turn wheels to right.
Facing uphill on the right side of the street or downhill on the left side of the street: turn wheels to left.
In all cases, you want the car to roll towards the curb, not traffic, if the brakes fail. Remember that if you're facing uphill, the car will roll backwards!
Of course, if you drive on the right in your country, then you should only park on the right, unless you're on a one-way street.
In San Francisco, you'll get a ticket unless your wheels are turned the correct way.
If your is parked on the right side of the street (the side that you drive on in the US) then you turn your wheels to the right. But if you're parked on the left side of the street, turn your wheel
