The New York Mets are a Major League Baseball (MLB) team that plays in the Eastern Division of the National League and calls Shea Stadium home. Shea Stadium is located in Flushing, a New York City Borough of Queens. The New York Mets are one of two major baseball franchises in the City of New York (the other is the New York Yankees). The team was formed in 1959 after two other franchises left town, leaving the largest city in the United States without a major-league baseball team. The New York Mets have won two World Series Championships in their 46-year history.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Search the New York Mets Web site (see Resources below) for all the latest information on game days and times.

  2. Step 2

Review the seating chart on the team's Web site. Naturally, the better seats will run you more money than the seats that are higher up in the stadium. Decide what you want to pay and how important proximity is to you.

  3. Step 3

Purchase your tickets to the game in advance from the box office. You may have them delivered to you or pick them up at the will-call window at the stadium.

  4. Step 4

Plan to bring extra money to purchase snacks and souvenirs from the game. Souvenirs are a must if visiting for the first time!

  5. Step 5

Review the parking map located on the Web site before heading out to the game.

  6. Step 6

Locate the restrooms that are closest to your seats when you arrive. This will make for quicker trips so you miss less of the game.
