How to Obtain a Fishing Permit in Rocky Point, Mexico

This once small fishing town has grown into a booming beachfront community. The fish and shrimp that originally supported the village are still present, though. While some people flock to the beaches to tan, others grab their tackle boxes and either find a place on the shore or join a charter boat to see what they can catch.

1. Bring the proper identification to a licensing facility. Most fishing shops or charter boat companies will sell permits.
2. Read and sign the paperwork and pay your fees. Keep your permit and receipt in a safe place in case there is a question about the purchase.
3. Get a permit for all fishing activities and for everyone in your party.
4. Group the cost of your fishing permit and your charter fishing boat fee together. This may save some money in the long run.
