How to Create a Housewarming Gift Basket

Welcome a new neighbor or congratulate that first time home buyer with a fun and easy to make housewarming gift basket.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Heavy duty basket with handle
• Five mugs
• Two homestyle soup mixes
• Colored plastic wrap, large bow, and card
• Assorted cheeses, breads, pastries, and cheese slicer
• Variety of coffee beans, assorted teas with tea ball, hot chocolate
• Medium-sized plant--think about the recipeint and make it special
• Shredded filler
• Small cream colored table cloth

1. Gather supplies (see Things You'll Need) and place basket on table. In the center of the basket, make a mound with shredded filler, then place table cloth over mound and create a nest on top.
2. Fill three mugs with hot chocolate, tea and coffee beans. Fill the other two mugs with home-style soup mix. Arrange mugs to go around entire basket.
   
   
3. Arrange bread, cheese, crackers and slicer in open spaces.
   
4. Place the plant in top center mound.
5. Place colored plastic wrap over top of contents, just enough to cover.
6. Cover the basket with plastic wrap, gathering it together at the top of the handle and securing it with a bow.
7. Place card on plastic wrap directly under bow, and tape in place.
