How to Create an Anniversary Gift Basket

Gift baskets are a great gift to create, to give, and especially to receive.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Large bow
• Card
• Small gift relating to years married
• Massage oil and massage book
• Good bottle of champagne +two champagne glasses (optional)
• The Joy of Sex or some other book about the art of loving relationships
• Straw or shredded filler
• Colored, clear plastic wrap
• Large sturdy basket with handle
• Small cream colored tablecloth

1. Place basket on table and gather supplies (see Things You'll Need); add shredder filler/straw to basket. Arrange filler to create a mound in center of basket and mounds near the handles. In the center mound, make a dip, or nest on the top. Place table cloth over filler. The basket should have the cloth draping out over the rim of the basket just a little. If there is extra table cloth hanging over the edge of the basket, pull the fabric back, and form pockets with your fist, making what looks like nests of fabric in several places, including the top mound.
2. Place bottle of champagne or massage oil on the top of the center mound and work it down in to the shredded filler/straw to secure bottle(s).
3. Place book(s) in front along bottom of mound.
4. Place champagne glasses (if used) along each side near handle; have them lean back against mounds.
5. Place anniversary specific gift in the center of the books. Examples: 50 years is gold, 25 years is silver, etc.
6. Fill in the spaces left with flowers, or candy kisses, anything romantic.
7. Cover the basket with plastic wrap, gathering it together at the top of the handle and securing it with a bow.
8. Place card on plastic wrap directly under bow and tape in place.
