How to be "aware"

You may have a lot of friends, be a good socializer whether at work or at your gym. Or you may sometimes feel lonely, think that socializing is not for you. All of this doesn't really matter if you're not "aware". To fully release your potential and be someone people can really count on, follow those easy steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Powerful peripherical vision
  • Awareness

Step1
Start with the simple things. You hear someone in your vicinity sneezing? Just smile, bend a little, and hand over a handkerchief. The poor bugger will be grateful, and you might even get a 'thank you'.
Step2
People are not aware because everyone is focused on his own little world. Sure thing you're watching football in the living room, chilling on your couch. Notice that your wife is getting nervous, makes frequent trips to the kitchen, or starts doing random stuff like tidying the magazines on the low table. Don't take this as a proof that she has things to do and that she doesn't want to change the program. Be aware, and recognize the signs of extreme boredom.
Step3
Once you've mastered the concepts of the first two steps, you can go on to the next stage : be aware of problems before they actually happen. Your best buddy from work is going back to this girl's place after a crazy night clubbing? Immediately foresee that he won't have a clean shirt for tomorrow's meeting. The next day, when he'll be telling you about the amazing night he had, just be a sport and hand over the clean shirt. It will make his day turn just perfect.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practise all your senses : sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. Don't forget they mark out the path to awareness
  • Keep a little awarebook of all your awareness actions. At the end of each day, go deep under your duvet, switch on the flashlight, and write down all those actions that made people happy
  • Some people might be unresponsive to your awareness. Just smile awkwardly and move on, they don't deserve you
