How to stretch tight shoes

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Using a cotton ball rub metholated sprits only to the inside of your shoe and then put the shoe on wearing thick socks around the house.
  1. Step 1

Remember DO NOT use metho on some fancy dyes or prints as they could potentially bleed or make the colour run. Metho can works on plain leather, suede, canvas, nubuck, and some synthetic materials. When in doubt don’t use metho, use the other below options

Other tips for fancy dyed shoes:

1.wear thicker football socks in the shoe and break them in as you wear them around the house

2.If there too tight to wear try stuffing clean objects into shoe and leaving it over night..
Ie: Either by stuffing small jars/ heaps of newspaper/ socks/ you also can push a clean, dry mop head (placed in a plastic bag) into the shoe to stretch it out. Remember to check on them regularly because if they stretch too much they may become useless
Try using sewing machine oil for harder fabrics to loosen it up quicker

3.Alternatively random shoe repair warehouses/manufacturers can stretch the shoe for you or retail shoe stores sell stretching solutions

on 2/6/2008 This really worked. Check with the socks off every half hour as the shoes do stretch really quickly. Thanks for the advice.

on 4/12/2008 This method really works! I was amazed by how quickly it worked. You need to keep checking with the socks off or they will stretch too much. Thanks
