How to Complete the Desperate Alliance Mission in Starcraft

Now your StarCraft missions are getting heavy. Your colony is finished, and to survive you must make friends with someone who the government has made out to be a lunatic. Great. But that's not all. Your position is about to be overrun by overwhelmingly high Zerg forces, and the Dropships that are coming to rescue you are 30 minutes away. Here's how to complete the Desperate Alliance Mission.

Difficulty: Challenging

1. Set your Space Construction Vehicles (SCVs) to immediately start harvesting minerals and gas. You should have no less than 10 SCVs harvesting minerals, and no less than five harvesting Vespene gas until the geyser runs dry.
2. Build two more bunkers in front of each existing bunker, and fill them with three Marines and a Firebat.
3. Built a Supply Depot and two Missile Towers in front of each trio of bunkers.
4. Build a Factory and train an additional Vulture for each side of your defense so that you have two on each side. Researching Spider Mines allows you to construct minefields, further confounding the enemy.
5. Fill in the gaps in the front wall with missile turrets. Put these on both sides of the mineral deposit. The Marines up on the wall won't last long.
6. Train 24 Marines and take them out into the wastes to bring the battle to the enemy! A single squad can do a fair amount of damage before being eliminated; two squads can practically halt the Zerg in their tracks. The more Zerg you eliminate on the offensive, the less you’ll have to hold back when they make their final push at around 2 minutes remaining.
7. Hold out at all costs! If you absolutely cannot do it, press return and type “power overwhelming” That will ensure your victory.
