How to Nuke Your Enemy in StarCraft

One of the nastiest ways to hurt an opponent in StarCraft is to nuke them. That's right, if you are the Terrans you can initiate nuclear war! You can even start the nuking as the Protoss, as long as you have Dark Archon Mind Control. Before you get too excited about nuking your enemy, though, you'll need a few things first.

Things You'll Need

• Barracks
• Academy
• Mind control (if you're the Protoss)
• Science lab with attached covert ops
• Ghost
• Ocular implants
• Nuclear technology

Instructions

1. Build a Barracks, Academy and Science Lab with attached Covert Ops. This will give you access to Ghosts, Ghost Upgrades and Nuclear Technology.

2. Research Ocular Implants. Unless you want your Ghost to buy the farm when the nuke hits, you'll need this.

3. Build a Command Center with a Nuclear Silo attached.

4. Free up nine supplies if your unit cap is filled. If its not, build yourself a Ghost and fill your empty Silo with a nuke.

5. Identify possible targets. The best places are your enemy's main bases or anywhere with a high concentration of buildings or units. You want the most bang for your buck.

6. Clear any detectors from around your target. These include Spore Colonies, Photon Cannons, Missile Turrets, Science Vessels, Overlords and Observers. Detectors will spot your Ghost and alert enemy units to his presence, and you don't want that.

7. Cloak your Ghost and call the nuclear strike on the intended target.

8. Wait for the missile to fall (the Ghost will regain his abilities just before the nuke hits) and get your Ghost out of there.

Tips & Warnings

• If you are the Protoss, use Dark Archon Mind Control to get a Terran SCV to give you a Terran army. Then you can launch a nuclear attack on the Terrans.
