How to Earn Cash and Clean the Environment While Walking a Dog

Did you know that your turn to walk "Patches" could also be your turn at a profit? And also your turn to clean up the neighborhood? Well it can be with a few simple steps.

Difficulty: Easy

1. Walk your dog, and in addition to the small plastic bags for picking up poop, take along a larger plastic bag. A kitchen size trash bag should work.
2. Pick up any cans or bottles you see littering the street.
3. Make sure the can or bottle is empty, then throw it in the large trash bag. Stomp on the cans to flatten them so there's more room in the bag.
4. Save the cans and bottles from each of your dog walks.
5. When you have a few bags full of cans and bottles, take them to a recycling center for cash.

Tips & Warnings

• Many grocery stores have recycling centers in the parking lot.
• Certain recycling centers require that you separate cans from bottles or separate glass, plastic and aluminum. It's a good idea to check first to save you the trouble of separating if you don't need to or from getting there and finding out you have to.
