How to Add Music to a Video Podcast
In a video, you generally need to have some music to propel the story forward. Even if your particular type of podcast doesn't require background music, it's nice to add some either in the intro, outro, or perhaps during transitions. Here's how you would do that in Final Cut Pro.

Tips & Warnings
If you're using the music as background, you can double click on the audio track in order to adjust the volume settings. Turn the sound up or down according to your desires.
Also, you can adjust the music so that it fades in or fades out when it starts and finishes. That way the transitions are not as harsh.
Don't use copy-righted music. There are a lot of royalty-free music sites online that you can take music from and not have to worry about getting sued. If you have any musician friends, ask them if they'd be willing to let you use their music. It'd be a good way for them to get their music out there, and a good way for you guys to support each other.
