Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- microphone
- computer
- podcasting software
- web server
Step1
Organize your podcast episodes. Think about what would be helpful to your audience and what you have to contribute. You could focus on one game, or you can create a more general guide. You could have reviews, headlines, discussions with other experts in varying arenas. The world is your oyster; be creative.
Step2
Once you have prepared your podcast, gather your equipment, hook up your microphone to your computer, open up your chosen software program--GarageBand and Audacity are safe bets--and start recording.
Step3
When you're done, convert your recording into an mp3 file, if it doesn't do so automatically.
Step4
Open up a podcasting software program so you can edit your podcast and package your show by adding features and music/sound effects.
Step5
After you're done, put the file onto a server, and then you can take the links and publish them onto your webpage. When you have enough episodes, create an RSS feed for your listeners so they can conveniently subscribe to your podcasts.
