How to choose an effective underarm deodorant

1. Choose a roll on, stick, or spray deodorant and read the ingredient list.

2. Check for the ingredient Aluminium chlorohydrate, this is the most effective antiperspirant and will stop you sweating excessively through the day.

3. Next look for the ingredient Triclosan, this is an antibacterial agent. Body odour is caused by the build up of bacteria in sweat so Triclosan effectively controls odour throughout the day.

4. If the product contains both these ingredients then it should be effective. If you have sensitive skin choose a product without alcohol.
