For me to have a healthy self esteem is a process. If we are committed to have a healthy self esteem there are many things you can do every day to boost your self esteem, each small steps that will help you to reach your goal.
I do my best to not judge other people. If I get hook in this game, sometimes I do, I immediately withdraw my attention to something else. Why? Because to judge others is to put yourself in a place were you are thinking that you are better than them, which is not a healthy self esteem .
Step2
I do exercise almost every day, if cannot go outside and run, I go to the gym. This makes me feel not only good about myself, but to become aware that I am doing something for me that I like.
Step3
I try not to take personally other’s people criticism. I know that if come across to somebody that criticizes me is not about me, is about him or her. Is another way for the person to feel better putting me down. I try to take criticism as a feedback, and see if I can learn something from it. This is a healthy self esteem
Step4
I do meditate every day; being in silence with me makes me feel good and connected to myself.
Step5
I do not deprive myself if I want to eat something I like, chocolate, piece of cake, etc. I eat it without guilt.
Step6
I do have a good sense of humor, that’s helps a lot because I do not dwell on self-pity.
Step7
If I catch myself criticizing me, I try to stop and change the internal dialog.
Step8
I do celebrate my small successes every day; even if is something that seems to be small. I become conscious of it. (Like, I made dinner, I watered my plants, I was nice to an angry person, etc).
