Things You'll Need:
- Needle
- Thread
- Fabric
- Iron
- Sewing Machine
- Sewing Scissors
- Button
- Sharpie
- To read the whole article before you begin

Step 1
Cut two rectangles of fabric the exact same size. Also cut a wide peace of fabric long enough to be a suitable purse strap.

Step 2
Make sure the bright or good sides of the fabric are facing each other.

Step 3
Iron down about 1 cm of fabric for the hem, make sure you hem both of the rectangle peaces of fabric.

Step 4
Draw the shape that your purse is going to be on one of the rectangles. Be sure that the rectangles are on top of each other when you are doing this.

Step 5
Cut about a centimetre away from the line that you just drew.

Step 6
Sew all along the line that you created. And sew along the hem at the top of the purse

Step 7
Iron a half centimetre hem for the piece that is going to be the strap.

Step 8
Fold the strap in half and sew it all of the way down.

Step 9
Turn the purse inside out.

Step 10
when sewing the strap onto the purse make sure that it is positioned on the seam. Also be sure to sew the strap onto the inside of the purse

Step 11
When sewing the strap on make sure that you are using the zig zag stitch. Also to reinforce the strap sew back and forth a few times.

Step 12
When you are done cut all of the loose treads off.
YOU CAN BE DONE HERE but if you wish to add a button read on. -
Step 13
Cut a hole big enough for the button you have chosen to fit through.

Step 14
With a hand needle sew around the hole to reinforce it.

Step 15
Sew the button on directly under the hole and VOILA you now have a beautiful purse.
