One of the most fundamental things you need to learn before grinding on ledges, is learning how to Bunny hop! Anyone can do the Bunny hop with loads of practice!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To do a Bunny hop, you need to be able to pull your front wheel of f the ground, so while going along at a steady pace, you can pull your front wheel up and see if you get it off the ground; as soon as you have done this, you are almost there.

  2. Step 2

Next thing to remember is that most of the trick is done by pushing forward. Meaning that, you have to pull your front wheel up and push your arms and body forward towards the bars; this should pull your back wheel off the ground making putting your bike in the air.

  3. Step 3

You can also go along at a steady speed and tuck down your body towards the bike and then suddenly push up towards the sky as hard as you can and this should pull the bike off the ground with your body making you air.

  4. Step 4

Now that you can bunny hop, here are some really cool tricks that you can do. Grinding is usually meant by sliding your bike along an object, usually along the metal edge of a ramp, a handrail, or ledge, using anything other than both wheels.

  5. Step 5

In a double peg grind movement, what happens is that you grind along the edge of a rail or ledge with both your pegs.

  6. Step 6

In a feeble grind, you must Bunny hop onto a rail or ledge, landing on the back pegs and grind it as you’re moving. However, you must make sure that your front wheel should be rolling along the top of what the peg is grinding along!
