1
Find a heavy glass, one sturdy enough that it can not be knocked over. A glass with a wide mouth and tapered bottom works well.
-
2
Fill the glass half-full of water. This will help steady the glass.
-
-
3
Hold the fork and spoon together, facing each other. Hook them together so the first and last tines of the fork are on one side of the spoon, and the second and third tines are on the other. The handles will extend in a rough boomerang shape.
-
4
Insert a toothpick between the middle tines of the fork and touching the edge of the spoon. This will be the center of your boomerang shape.
-
5
Take the fork, spoon and toothpick and balance one side of the toothpick (the part that is on the inside of the fork/spoon boomerang) horizontally on the edge of the glass. Move the toothpick in and out until you find the center of gravity.

Tips & Warnings
All forks and spoons are different in size and weight. Try the trick with different ones until you find a fork and spoon that are compatible with each other.
A square toothpick will work better than a round one.
Practice this at home first before you try it out in public.
This will not entertain adults for too long, so make sure to get it right the first time.
