Locate the used speakers you are interested in.

Find out what the speakers would cost new.
Step3
Look at the overall condition of the speakers. If they look damaged, don't buy them.
Step4
Examine the speaker cones for cracks, creases, holes or discoloration. The cone should be uniformly round, with very little dust or debris.
Step5
Listen to the speakers. Be wary of any scratching, vibrating noises, reverberations or squeals.
Step6
Find out where the speakers were used before. Avoid speakers that were used outside or in a club. They are likely to be damaged.
