Instructions

    • 1

Find pre-made MySpace backgrounds on the "Kerry on World" website. You can also use "MySpace Editor" or "Strike File" to create your own MySpace background (see Resources below).

Use the MySpace Editor so you can enter the color, background, font size and other specifications you want on your MySpace background. Most editors are very user-friendly. The program will ask you for all the details you need to create your page. Click on "Generate Code" to allow the editor to generate the appropriate coding for your new MySpace background. After the code is generated, hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse over the entire "Source Code." Hold down the "Control Key" and press the "C" button to copy the code.

Copy the code for your MySpace page using a pre-made background. When using a pre-made background, simply go to the website with the pre-made background and find the Source Code for the MySpace background you want to use. Hold down the right mouse button and drag the mouse over the coding until all of it is highlighted. Hold down the "Control" key and press "C" for copy.

Log on to your MySpace account and click "Edit" to edit your page. Find the "About Me" section on the edit page and click on the box so that a cursor appears. Hold down the control key and press the "V" button to paste the code you copied in Step 2 or Step 3.

Save your changes and check your page. Go back to the main page and view your newly edited page. Make sure everything looks correct. If there are any problems, you'll need to repeat the steps.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure that you preview the page before you save your edits. You may want to make sure that all of the print on the page is legible.

  • Try out a few different editors to get the one that works best for your needs.

  • Make sure you don't change any of the coding you created in your MySpace editor. Making changes to coding may disrupt the look of your page.
