1. Find out more about Gothic Lolitas before you pass judgment. When people think of Goth clothing they think of dark and evil-looking clothing. Gothic Lolitas are not like that, and are in fact a Victorian girl look. It's not related to the traditional Goth wardrobe.
2. Buy the basic clothes you'll need to dress like a Gothic Lolita. You'll need a black or white blouse, a full skirt, a petticoat, bloomers and socks. It's important to pick colors that match and don’t clash when buying the basics.
3. Consider getting your nails and hair done to fit the Gothic Lolita fashion. You'll want a glamorous looking hair cut and nails that match the outfit. Consider getting a bonnet or hair ribbon to match the outfit.
4. Act as a Gothic Lolita would act. Gothic Lolita’s are shy and demure, so it's important that you play that role. Mind your manors and act sophisticated--not snobbish. A Gothic Lolita has the tendency to stare at her feet and stand pigeon-toed.
