How to Program a Blackjack Personal Device

The "Samsung Blackjack" personal device is an all-in-one, hand-held computer. With the Blackjack, you have access to not only world cellular service, but also Microsoft Windows applications like video and photo storage, PC Outlook synchronization, a camcorder and camera, email, Bluetooth technology, data storage and access, scheduling and MP3 music. Follow these steps to find out how to program a Blackjack personal device.

  1. Step 1

    Turn the Blackjack personal device on. Press and hold the red "End" button until the Blackjack begins to initialize. The basic applications like your cellular service, Microsoft Windows, camera, video capabilities and scheduling will automatically program themselves.

  2. Step 2

    Set up your email account. If you already have an existing Web-based email account, you can access it simply. If you need to set up an email account, select the "Email" icon on the welcome screen. This will take you through a series of setup steps that will ask you to create an email address, username and password.

  3. Step 3

    Put together your schedule. Click on the "Calendar" icon located on the "Welcome" screen. From here, you can enter data into your personal scheduler. Use the "Format" tab to customize your schedule to meet your exact needs.

  4. Step 4

    Synchronize your Blackjack with your PC. To synchronize your Blackjack with your PC, follow these simple steps:
    1. Install the provided sync software onto your PC.
    2. Once these programs are installed, open the Synchronize Manager located in the folder found under Applications or on your welcome screen.
    3. Once open, click on the "Synchronize" tab and click "OK."
    4. Next, open the "Address Book/Contacts," "Date Book/Calendar" and "To-Do/Tasks" conduits. Click "OK" to confirm and "Quit" to exit the "Synchronize Manager" program.
    5. Open the "Synchronization" program by selecting the icon from your PC’s task bar. Once into the program, you should see your Blackjack ID displayed. Select this icon to customize your device.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always keep your Blackjack charged so you don’t lose data or miss important dates.
  • Be sure to set your "Spam" settings on your email account to avoid having your memory being wiped out by junk mail.
  • As of now, the Blackjack is not compatible with Microsoft Vista.
  • Even though your phone is a world phone, you should check into increased and hidden expenses when making a call outside of your area.
