Things You'll Need:
- Internet access
- Computer
-
Step 1
Know that the best domain name appraisal sites have been in business for several years. Although new appraisal sites may be good, the best services have been around since the Internet boom of the early 1990s.
-
Step 2
Get to know how a domain name appraisal site creates its values. The leading sites use Register.com and GoDaddy statistics to generate appraisals based on a wide selection of Web site sales.
-
Step 3
Learn about the criteria a domain name appraisal site considers to be important. Some services think that a short domain name is more important, while others believe that the extension adds more value to a domain. Your domain may get very different estimated values depending on what criteria a domain name site favors.
-
Step 4
Ask about certification. The best domain name appraisal sites have been recognized by independent consumer or industry organizations, such as JD Power and Associates, as providing a high level of service.

on 9/17/2008 In my opinion the best domain name appraisal site is
www.thewebsubmission.com I have used them about 12 times. They do it by hand and they have been right on I feel like. They have a quick turnaround time and they only charge $7.95.
