How to Create a Wedding Planning Podcast How to Create a Wedding Planning Podcast

Rate: (0 Ratings)

There are all these bridal magazines out there. Why not create a podcast for future brides (and grooms) to listen to that gives them tips on how to plan their wedding.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • microphone
  • computer
  • podcasting software
  • web server
Step1
Organize your episodes into sections or formats. There are many aspects to planning a wedding; it might be helpful to separate it in terms of practical needs. Location, Food, Cake, Flowers, Guest List, Music, Dress, Photos, Honeymoon.
Step2
Think about audience. You might want to separate your podcast episodes depending on what kind of wedding the person wants. A beach, outdoor wedding; a church; a destination wedding. These all come with different demands.
Step3
Once you have prepared your podcast, gather your equipment, hook up your microphone to your computer, open up the software program that you are going to use to record. Some simple options are Audacity or GarageBand.
Step4
Once you're prepared, start recording. After you're done, convert your recording into an mp3 file, if it doesn't do so automatically.
Step5
Open up a podcasting software program so you can edit your podcast and add features. Add chapters so listeners can jump back and forth in between sections if necessary. Add art and background music to contribute to the mood.
Step6
After you're done, put the file onto a server, and then you can take the links and publish them onto your webpage.
Step7
When you have enough episodes, create an RSS feed for your listeners so they can conveniently subscribe to your podcasts.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add links so your listeners can find other resources for more specific information or suggestions, depending on what they are most interested in.

on 3/16/2008 The wonderful world of podcasting allows everyone the freedom to podcast. However a podcast on the subject of wedding planning and it's issues and concerns should be left up to a professional or professionals who have many, many, years of experience in the wedding industry. Even so with many years of experience under ones’ belt doesn't mean that everyone is qualified to pick up a mic and think that they’re a show host. Experience, personality, and charisma are much-needed elements that the individual must posses. Lacking these elements partly adds to the reason to a shows demise among other things as well. If you would like to listen to a truly professional wedding planning show, one that’s enjoyable entertaining informative and humorous. Then listen to the Wedding Planning Audiocast’s programming subscribe to their shows in iTunes and you will see what I’m trying to make you realize.
