As a parent, you want the best for your child. A good public school can provide high quality of education and ample opportunity for growth for your child. Here’s how to get your child enrolled in the best public school:

  1. Step 1

    Compile a list of public schools in your area. You will be able to get this list from the local telephone directory or the Yellow Pages.

  2. Step 2

    Go online and type keywords such "Best public schools" in the search box of your favorite search engine. Add the name of your city at the end of the keywords. You should find links to the best schools in your city.

  3. Step 3

    Visit the Web sites of all the listed schools. Read the information given and shortlist the schools that you find appropriate for your child.

  4. Step 4

    Get the profiles of these schools either online or by paying a visit. Go through the course curriculum, extra-curricular activities, vision and rules, fee structure, teaching staff status and so on.

  5. Step 5

    Consider your child’s needs and the intellectual level, your family values and financial status.

  6. Step 6

    Take suggestions from friends or relatives whose children are studying at some of your target schools.

  7. Step 7

    Visit the school you have selected and get the registration form.

  8. Step 8

    Meet the principal and faculty. Make sure to ask questions about the admission process and the best way to enroll your child.

    Complete all the formalities in time to secure admission in the selected school.
