How to Complete the First Mission for Colonel Cortez in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

This would be an easy mission except for the fact that Cortez gives you a chainsaw to use. The chainsaw, while lots of fun and highly lethal, slows you down to a crawl. Using it on your intended victim is not as easy as it looks, but fortunately, there’s a way around that. Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Head to the penthouse.
2. Park your car right outside the front door. Don’t worry, it will not get towed.
3. Hack a couple of his buddies. Gonzalez will probably escape, but that’s fine. If he does not escape, you have already won. If he does, well, that’s why you parked the car outside.
4. Jump into your car when he runs outside.
5. Run him down. It’s a lot easier than trying to chase him with the chainsaw, and it still gets the job done.
6. Switch to a pistol or your fists if you absolutely must chase him down on foot. Then, when you get close, pull out the chainsaw and let him have it. Switching to another weapon lets you run faster.
