Powder foundation can be used as either a top coat to liquid foundation or just as a quick cover all on its own. Applying powder foundation is simple—just follow the steps below.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Brush or cosmetic pad
  • Powder foundation
  1. Step 1

Open your powder foundation compact or box.

  2. Step 2

Either using the cosmetic pad that comes with the compact or a brush, swipe some powder foundation onto the pad or brush.

  3. Step 3

Sweep the powder across your face working upwards and outwards toward your hair line.

  4. Step 4

Cover your entire face or just in the areas that you want to wear the powder foundation.

  5. Step 5

Make sure it is blended in well with your skin and that there are no lines or demarcations.

Tips & Warnings
  • Choose a powder foundation that is close to your skin color.
  • Be sure to blend your powder foundation into your skin so that there are no telltale lines or marks.
  • Using a brush is better than using the pad that comes with the compact because you can use less and get more of the effect that you are wanting without the powder caking on your face.
