Instructions

    • 1

Wash your feet well with hot soapy water and dry them off with a towel.

    • 2

Get your large-sized nail clipper and start at your big toe nail.

    • 3

Trim your toenails straight across by squeezing the exposed nail tip between the nail clipper's sharp edges.

    • 4

Don't clip into your skin or round off the edges (this can cause ingrown nails).

    • 5

Trim each of the nails to approximately the same length.

    • 6

Wash your feet again with hot soapy water.

Tips & Warnings

  • Trim your toe nails often. Keeping your nails short helps reduce the risk of fungal infection.

  • If your toe nails are too hard to cut, soak your feet in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Always wash your hands and feet before and after cutting your toe nails.
