How to Be Popular
It seems to be the most important thing in your teenage years: being well-liked, important and not just another face in the crowd at school. Most definitely, times can be difficult when you want to get noticed and be popular--for the right reasons. While you shouldn't link how many people like you to your self-image, you can still be popular for the right reasons.

1
Learn to like yourself for who you are. You might not be the prettiest girl in school or the best player on the football team, but you are special just the way you are.
-
2
Exude confidence. While being arrogant will drive people away from you, being confident in who you are and what you're good at will attract people to you.
-
-
3
Be cheerful whenever you can. People are drawn to those who are bright all the time, as long as it isn't fake or overwhelming. The people who are most popular are always bright and energetic.
-
4
Get involved with work or school activities. People can't get to know you and like you if you aren't around. Try joining teams or clubs, as long as you like the sport or the activity you're participating in.
-
5
Be charming. Listen to others so that you can recall minute details about them. Asking 3 questions about another person before answering 1 about yourself is a very simple way to be charming without trying.
-
6
Remember to always be well-groomed. People are drawn to the attractive, and even if you're not a traditional "hottie," being neat and clean will get people to take notice. If you want to use this to get attention, lightly wear an exotic perfume or change your hairstyle.

Tips & Warnings
If you do the above steps and still are feeling unpopular, try giving in to the latest trends. People will notice if you try to fit in, even if it's something you really don't care about such as a certain kind of necklace or liking a certain football team.
Being shy is one of the ways to make sure you stay unnoticed. People will take more notice of the outgoing person than they will of the quiet one in the corner.
Don't do anything you know is wrong to be popular. Drinking under the legal age limit, doing drugs or trading sexual favors for popularity will only hurt you and get you into trouble either with your family or the authorities.
